Photogrammetry

Photogrammetry is a remote sensing science of measurement. It uses images or photographs, to determine the positions and characteristics of artifacts and terrain. Photogrammetry is passive and measures reflected energy. This requires certain conditions like proper illumination from the sun and clear weather.

Remote Sensing is the ability to make measurements of objects without directly touching them. Traditional surveying usually has survey crews on the site directly touching and measuring artifacts and terrain they are trying to attribute and collect. Lidar, Photogrammetry, and Thermal imaging measure these artifacts and terrain without directly touching them. Remote sensing techniques such as Photogrammetry are best performed during the winter season. The reason behind this approach is most leaves have fallen improving the quality of the data captured.

We provide Photogrammetry services in the following states: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas.
